    2. Types of questions Generally speaking, there are three types of questions Tag S/no Information seeking

    3. Tag Questions Tag questions are used when the speaker is trying to involve the listener in the conversation. The listener is put in the position of agreeing or disagreeing with the speaker. They are formed by adding no? or verdad? at the end of a sentence. When the sentence is negative only verdad? should be used. Using no? after a another no is a no-no.

    4. Tag Questions Examples/ Modelos: Eres de Roxana, no? Eres de Roxana, verdad? No eres de Chicago, verdad? No eres perezoso, verdad?

    5. S/No Questions Yes / No questions can be answer with s or no. These questions normally start with the verb. The subject in Spanish is often after the verb or at the end of the sentence. Modelo: Q: Necesita Mara los materiales escolares? A: S, Mara necesita los materiales escolares. A: No, Mara no necesita los materiales escolares.

    6. S/No Questions Modelos: Busca Mara los materiales escolares en la papelera? S, Maria busca los materiales escolares en la papelera. No, Maria no busca los materiales escolares en la papelera.

    7. S/No Questions Change the following statements to s/no questions by placing the verb first in the sentence: Diego compra los materiales escolares. Compra Diego los materiales escolares? Diego habla con el empleado. Habla Diego con el empleado?

    8. S/No Questions Change the following statements to s/no questions by placing the verb first in the sentence and the subject last in the sentence: La clase de historia es interesante. Es interesante la clase de historia? El profesor es inteligente. Es inteligente el profesor?

    9. Information seeking questions The third type of questions words request information. These questions begin with a question word like qu, dnde, or Cundo. Modelos: Q: Qu necesita ella? A: Ella necesita un cuaderno. Q: Cunto cuesta el cuaderno? A: El cuaderno cuesta noventa pesos.

    10. Question words Quin? Who? Quines? Who (plural)? Con quin? With whom? Qu? What? Dnde? Where? De dnde? From where? Adnde? To where? Cundo? When? Por qu? Why? Cmo? How? Cunto/a/os/as? How much/many? Cul/es? Which?

    11. Information seeking questions Cunto cuesta la camisa roja? La camisa roja cuesta treinta soles. Con quin habla Roberto? Roberto habla con el empleado. Qu compra Roberto? l compra la camisa roja. Por qu compra Roberto la camisa? Porque la camisa es barata.
