Understanding Perimeter: Concepts and Classwork

This resource explains perimeter, the distance around any closed figure. It defines the perimeter as the total length of all sides of a shape and provides the formula: add all sides together. The distinction between perimeter and area is highlighted, with area measuring the inside and perimeter measuring the outside. The classwork assignment involves creating a picture frame to practice measuring perimeter, ensuring the frame is a closed figure, and following specific guidelines regarding materials and decoration.
