  4. The big shift isn't that content is digital. It's that the learning culture is participatory. @AngelaMaier#beyondthetextbooks PROJECT GOALS. 1. Increase student achievement, engagement, and ability to learn to meet the demands of the connected world they are entering 2. Createand supportopportunities for student learning through the use of technology as an extension of the classroom

  5. OTHER BENEFITS Costs: E-Textbooks are less expensive. Safety: One laptop vs. numerous books in overloaded book bags. Access: Easy access on the net, no lost or stolen books.

  6. EXTERNAL SUPPORT ISSUES Admissions & PTA: Parental support. Facilities: Charging stations in classrooms. IT: Wi-Fi access and Bandwidth. Book Publishers: E-Textbook availability and distribution method. Business Office: Current bookstore contract with Sodexo. Sodexo: Coordination of book adoptions Platform: BYOD or I-Pad.

  7. TEST BED PROGRAM ISSUES How do we construct our test bed program? Grade level: Start with upper or lower grades. Do we include the middle school? Discipline: One discipline across all grade levels. Voluntary: Teachers willing to make the transition.
