1. ABSTRACT Profile of band DNA spermatozoa epidydymis mice after given water phase Justicia gendarussa Burm.f with agarose gel method Nowadays, the development of man contraception method is far away behind the woman contraception because of difficulties in controlling ovulation process. From research, reported that gendarusa contain the compound of gendarusin A and B which show the existence of degradation of activity hyaluronidase dispersion kumulus oophorus ovum during penetration moment, and can prevent the penetration of spermatozoa mencit at the process of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Penetrating resistance mechanism of spermatozoa by flavonoid which is because of activity hyaluronidase resistance there is possibility because of influence of trouble og gene expression, so that sintesis protein (enzim) reduction. One of the WHO condition for the male contraception is the non mutagenik. Verification do not the happening of mutation must be done by molekuler. Therefore conducted by a antecedent research seenly is profile of band of DNA spermatozoa epididimis mencit with the method of agarose gel. In this research, used water phase Justicia gendarussa Burm. f with the dose 15, 6335 mg; 7, 8168 mg; 3,9084 mg; dan 1,9542 mg/20g BB. Hesperidin given as the positive control and CMC Na given as the negative control. Water phase given in per oral once a day during 1,5 cycle spermatogenesis which is 53 day, with the dose of according to weight of mencit body every week. Then conducted the isolation of mencit DNA spermatozoa epidydymis, and seen by profile of band DNA by electroforesis agarose gel. The result from the experiment, after water phase Justicia gendarussa Burm. f, DNA spermatozoa epidydymis mice given the fast profile of shorter migration compared to with control.
