  2. A. Significance and Purpose of Witnessing 1. Significance of Witnessing Witnessing is the most holy activity. The purpose of all our activities is witnessing. 1) Transmission of God’s Word 2) Transmission of God’s personality 3) Transmission of God’s Heart

Purpose of Witnessing • Restoration of God’s purpose of creation • (whole purpose) • - hell Heavenly Kingdom, • by fulfilling the Three Great Blessings • - the liberation of God, Jesus, and True Parents from their resentment (“Han”) • 2) Restoration of God’s Heart (individual purpose) • persecution, ridicule, denial • to experience God’s situation, as He worked with Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, etc. • to restore God’s Heart, remove my fallen nature and become a perfected person

  4. 3) Restoration of Adam’s family The entire purpose of the history of the providence of restoration is related to the restoration of Adam’s family.   5. B. Foundation for Witnessing 1. Mobilization of the Spiritual World Father’s words: “Witnessing results depend 40% on the spiritual world, 30% on one’s understanding of the Divine Principle, and 30% on one’s practice.” Mobilizing the spiritual world is of primary importance in witnessing. 1) A life of joy and gratitude 2) A life of indemnity 3) Sincere prayer 4) Unity

  6. 2. Understanding God’s Word God expects all our members to become good DP lecturers to save people. Witnessing starts with conveying God’s Word. We should therefore have confidence and conviction in God’s Word. Learn, believe and practice God’s Word. I should be able to speak God’s Word freely.

  7. 3. Practice Clear goals and a schedule are important for success. We must control our emotions and fight against satanic temptations, not deviating from our commitment. We need to always be concerned for witnessing day and night, even forgetting eating and sleeping.

  8. C. Internal Attitude and Proper Manner for Witnessing 1. Internal Attitude 1) A representative of God and True Parents 2) Love and enthusiasm 3) Sacrificial life in service of others 4) Sincerity and patience 5) Humility, not arrogance

  9. 2. The Right Manner • Respect other religions and other people. • Keep the confidentiality of those who share their secrets with me. • Avoid improper topics. • Never touch the opposite sex. • 5) Take the precaution of time and place when witnessing to someone of the opposite sex.
