  1. Presentation of STRESA Storage of Thermal Reactors Safety Data (STRESA) Database A. Annunziato, C. Addabbo TH-Group Meeting Paris, 26-27-1-2000

  2. New Data BASE for JRC Data STRESA: Storage of Thermal Reactor Safety DataBase • An innovative data-base is being developed in order to store the data from • LOBI facility • FARO facility • KROTOS facility • any other JRC facility if needed • The data-base is Web-based and interactively should allow to retrieve • For each test facility • the description documents • the original test facility drawings • the available input decks • The list of tests performed and for each test • the documents produced for each test • the plots related to each single test

  3. 3-tier database arrangement Browser STRESA server NT server with active server pages (asp) technology STRESA database Internet browser (IE, Netscape, others)

  4. Actual status of STRESA database • For the moment the following items has been introduced in the database: • LOBI (1 GBytes) • All the LOBI test documents (EDR, QLR) scanned from originals • All the LOBI tests data (70 experiments) • Missing: drawings, input decks, some general documents • FARO (70 Mbytes) • Part of the documentation (EDR, QLR) created from Word • All the FARO test data (14 experiments) • Missing: some documents, drawings, input decks, films • KROTOS (20 Mbytes) • Part of the documentation (EDR, QLR) created from Word • All the KROTOS data (29 experiments) • Missing: some documents, drawings, input decks, films

  5. STRESA Access policy • The Internet URL is at the moment the following: • http://asa2.sti.jrc.it/stresa • Anybody can connect but has to register him/herself • Basic registration level (Level 0) • to see the experiments performed for each facility • Level 1 • to see the documents available for each test • Level 2 • to see and/or download the documents and the experimental data

  6. STRESA vs CERTA • This database should be one node of the more wider CERTA database, for which a proposal has been submitted to the EU-FP5 SCA. • The CERTA database has been proposed for include the following facilities and codes: CERTA: European Network for the Consolidation of the Integral System Experimental Data Bases for Reactor Thermal-Hydraulic Safety Analysis

  7. CERTA Structure • STRESA • FARO • KROTOS • LOBI CERTA SPES BETHSY

  8. Login procedure STRESA Database

  9. Selection of facility STRESA Database

  10. Selection of experiment STRESA Database

  11. Visualization of available documents STRESA Database

  12. Selection of quantities to plot

  13. Plot of selected quantities

  14. CONCLUSIONS • A large amount of experimental data has been produced at JRC • The risk of data-loss and of paper-document loss is an important issue • A new web-based data base (STRESA) is being developed to allocate JRC experimental data, documentation, and input decks • The prospected amount of data should not exceed 2-3 Gbytes for LOBI, FARO and KROTOS • STRESA database could be one node of the CERTA database that has been proposed to EU
