The Web 2.0 staff development programme at LJMU, spearheaded by Will Reid and Alex Spiers, aimed to enhance staff confidence and skills in technology-enhanced learning. Over a 12-week course, 120 staff participated in blended delivery sessions, including face-to-face interactions and group learning. Evaluations showed significant improvement in IT literacy, particularly in the use of blogs and wikis. Participants expressed gratitude for the training's quality, which has positively influenced their professional development and student experience. Collaboration with Learning Development Units was key to the programme's success.

Evaluation Comparison of skills audit Looking back on when I first completed this questionnaire, I can see that I have learnt a lot about Web 2.0 applications and feel much more confident about using them now. I ‘d heard about Blogs and Wikis, but never really used them or set one up but , since completing this training, I feel much better about using them. I am so nervous of this course but hopefully I will get more confident as I progress If I could remember everything it would be fine......... but……… Thank you to the Web 2.0 @ LJMU team for the quality and content of the training course. I do believe that it has helped to raise the standards of IT literacy within LIS.
I’m not joining moron facebook! It was a great opportunity...I wouldn’t have learned this stuff otherwise
