  2. Christopher Columbus • He was born in Portugal 1450 • He completed four voyages across the Atlantic ocean • He died on the 20th May 1506 • He died at age 54 in a place called Valladolid • He was a very good explorer

  3. Marco Polo • He was born in Venice 1254 • He wrote a book about all of his adventures • He learned four languages in school • Some people don’t believe that he sailed to China • He was a wonderful explorer

  4. James Cook • He was born on the 27th October 1728 in Yorkshire • He was the first to lead a sailing expedition around the world successfully • He explored Parts of the Pacific Ocean • He died in 1779 • He was a great explorer

  5. David Livingstone • He was born on the 13th of March 1813 • He was born in Blantyre Scotland • He was a doctor and a missionary • He went to Africa as a Christian missionary in1841 • He married Mary Moffat in 1845 • He did wonderful things during his life
