  7. MSc 2011/12 Summary Timetable 1 (Oct 4-Jan 20) For all programmes, Monday 3 October is dedicated to induction, for which a separate timetable has been published. The timetable below shows the starting date, time and room for each module. The full, hour-by-hour timetable will be published by the member of staff running the module, usually on its web pages. Note that for each module, the teaching and assessment will be completed within a three-week period.   8. Teaching and assessment • Each module is taught and assessed within a 3-week period (“block mode”). • Typically, teaching in first 2 weeks, assessment in 3rd week. • All assessment is 100% coursework. • Including in-class test which might “look like” exams. • After this, the next module starts. • We do not use an exam period for our MSc. • In January, immediately after the 4th module, we start with the 5th module. • This allows you to start with your MSc projects earlier.
