  2. Question #1 • A specific location on a storage medium is called a folder. In a computer, a folder is a virtual container in which groups of files and other directories can be organized and stored. • The terms folder and file cabinet were used by programmers to provide some relevancy to a traditional office file cabinet. • On a computer, the files are kept organized by storing files that are related to each other in the same directory. When a directory is inside another directory, it is called a sub-directory.

  3. Question #2 • A workbook is a spreadsheet file. By default, each workbook in Excel contains three pages or worksheets. • The term spreadsheet is often used to refer to a workbook, when in actual fact, spreadsheet refers to the computer program, such as Excel. • So, strictly speaking, when you open the Excel spreadsheet program it loads an empty workbook file consisting of three blank worksheets for you to use.
