What is Sussmania? • A community within our classroom that cares about each other • Students apply for jobs and are paid for them. • Fines for breaking the “laws” or rules of Sussmania • Spend money is classroom store • Participate in monthly service learning projects to show caring for the community

  3. Jobs Here are the jobs you will be able to apply for in Sussmania: -Senator -Chief of Staff -Librarian -Banker -Electrician -Maintenance Worker -Police Officer -Technical Assistant -Messenger -Shopkeeper -Equipment Manager -Mailman

  4. Payment/Fines • Each student earns a weekly paycheck for completing their job. • Bonuses can be earned for exceptional performance or excellent behavior. • Students pay fines to the community for breaking our laws or rules.

  5. Service Learning • Each month our class will choose a service project that we can complete to serve others or improve the world in some way. • We call this service learning because we tie our project in to academic areas and the Florida Sunshine State Standards
