  1. 2013 University Math And Science Camp It was educational fun for all of us. By Brett McClain and John Maddox

  2. What we did that we found the most enjoyable. • I ,John Maddox, found chemistry to be interesting because we got to see how chemistry affects many jobs and every thing on this planet. What I, Brett McClain, found most interesting was engineering because we made wind chimes, prototyped them and did research to find the node.

  3. What else we did. • We got to learn about sound, light, and many other waves with our physics class. We even got to go to the Planetarium and see planets and stars! • Then we got to make our own music and use sound effects in our computer science class. We got to learn about the ear.

  4. How will this information help us in the future. • It helps us prepare for high school and college classes • It gave us better computer skills and a better understanding of physics and chemistry. • It also showed us how complex building something simple as a wind chime can be. [ as if how it’s made didn’t show us that]

  5. How this program has affected what we want to be. • It has not affected my , Brett McClain, out look at all because I still want to be a Industrial Engineer and still hate dub-step but I gained computer skills. • It has affected me because now that I , John Maddox, have experience and know what it is like to be an engineer. It has definitely narrowed down to what I want to be. I want to be an electrical or computer engineer.

  6. Construction Of The Wind Chimes We had a machine that cuts steel with water.

  7. Math And Science Summer Camp 2013 We crushed most of the world

  8. Questions • 1. At what atomic number do elements that appear in the human body stop? • 2. How does chemistry affect you? • 3. Where is the best place to hold a wind chime? • 4. What is the difference between a node and an antinode in a wave? • 5. In waves what is the difference between constructive and destructive interference?

  9. Answers • It is 35 ,the element Bromine, the thirty-fifth element. • Chemistry is responsible for matter so without it nothing material would exist. • At its Node,1/5 down the pipe • A node is the middle of the wave and doesn’t move. The antinode is the highest point of the wave and moves frequently • Constructive Interference is when two waves meet and form a stronger wave. Destructive Interference is when two waves meet and form one weaker wave.
