  2. Our school turned 5 • In 2008, the theoretical and professional classes of the former “Nicolae Balcescu” school separated, under the name “Mircea Eliade” Theoretical High School.

  3. The students • There are 550 students enrolled, in 16 high school groups and 2 middle school groups. They are aged 11-19. • Furthermore, there are about 100 students enrolled in low frequency classes.

  4. The teachers • We have 25 teachers, out of which 16 are tenured professors. Most of them have a first or second teaching degree leveland one of them hold a doctorate title. • Our teachers are active in long life learning courses of the Ministry of Education, which are funded by the European Union.

  5. Optional courses • Baccalaureate study: math, chemistry, Romanian language, biology, physics, geography, history • Education in the knowledge society • Local history •  Education for Health • VIA-Vocation, interests, self-knowledge and development

  6. Endowment • Rehabilitation and extension of the high school building(2013) • IT, chemistry, physics and biology labs, equipped with computers and appliances since 2006. • Documentation and information center • Library • Internet access • Gym (2005)

  10. The path of our graduates • University level studies: Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary medicine, IT, Technical studies, Economy, Constructions, Education • Post-secondary studies: pharmacy, accounting • Training courses: hair stylist, beautician, designer • Work abroad
