  1. Animal Farm and the Russian Revolution Webquest Horizon Middle School 8th Grade Mrs. Carter November 16, 2012

  2. Animal Farm and the Russian Revolution The novel Animal Farm is an allegory for the Russian Revolution. This means that the characters and events symbolize actual people and events in history. The task of this web quest is to research who and what happened so that you can understand the “story underneath the story,” so to speak.

  3. THE BRIEFING Have you ever blatantly disobeyed authority? Ever wanted to charge or wished you could create new rules and regulations? You may not have realized it, but what you want to do is REVOLT. You've been wanting a REVOLUTION. This is what George Orwell's novel Animal Farm is all about. The story is an allegory, a story that uses fictional characters and events to illustrate a factual situation or particular idea. Each character and event in the story represents a person or event in the Russian Revolution of 1917!
