Why was the ORS asked to conduct the additional studies? • Independent • Unique composite of skills • Experience in infectious disease microbiology • Biosafety level 3 and 4 experience • Expert knowledge of biosafety and biocontainment • Worked on many BSL-3 and 4 projects • Experience in working with communities in similar situations • Poised to meet the short (4-6 mo.) project timeline
