  3. LDS “Footprint” in AfricaAnnual African Humanitarian Aid • $20.5 million of goods and services provided in Sub-Saharan Africa • 26 emergency responses to floods, drought, armed conflict, etc.

  4. African Humanitarian Aid: Medical • Neonatal resuscitation training programs in 8 countries with 8,500 medical personnel trained so far • Projects for vision care: helping 60,000 patients in 4 countries • Projects to support WHO measles campaigns: 5 countries

  5. African Humanitarian Aid: Water • Provided water to 673,000 people in 27 countries annually

  6. African Humanitarian Aid: Wheelchairs • Donations to 14 countries providing 5,000 wheelchairs

  7. Our “Footprint” in Africa • 250,000 members of the Church • Congregations in 21 countries • Approximately 400 chapels and other support buildings

  8. Missionaries in Africa • 17 missions • 1800 missionaries • 800 are U.S. citizens
