  2. Algorithm Engineers • Algorithm engineers study the effectiveness and efficiency of procedures of solving problems on a computer.

  3. Theory of computation engineers • Theory of computation engineers study the meaning and complexity of algorithms and the limits of what can be computed in principle.

  4. Computer architecture engineers • Computer architecture engineers study the structure and functionality of computers and their execution in terms of electronic technologies.

  5. Software system engineers • Software system engineers study the structure and completion of large programs. It includes the study of programming languages and paradigms, programming environments, compilers, and operating systems.

  6. Artificial intelligence engineers • Artificial intelligence concerns the computer’s understanding of what is commonly called intelligent behavior and the creation of artifacts that exhibit such behavior.
