CLASSROOM TRAINING • Veterans are required to attend Feb.13th clinic/meeting • 0-2 year officials are required to attend 7 of 9. • MEETING DATES: • Monday’s starting Jan. 23rd thru March 19th • Inside on-field training clinic date/time/location TBD • On-Field (outdoor) training “Mandatory” for all 0-2 years officials, dates, times & locations TBA. • Rules, Mechanics, Philosophy, guest speakers, video & game film
ON-FIELD TRAINING • 1-man mechanics – youth games • 2-man mechanics – high school games • Proper positioning & hand signals • When to blow your whistle • When to and not to throw your flag • Face-offs • Foul identification (Technical & Personal fouls) • Judgment • Penalty Reporting
YOUTH SPRING LACROSSE • IBLA/True Lacrosse – Approx.90 Teams • Lacrosse America/SMP – Approx. 15 Teams • NWCYLF – Approx. 60 Teams • Levels: U9, U11, U13 • Season: April – Mid June • Games to be played mostly on Saturday & Sunday’s • 1 & 2-man mechanics

Unsportsmanlike Conduct No player, substitute, nonplaying member, coach or anyone officially connected with a team shall: • Enter into an argument with an official • Attempt to influence the decision of an official • Use threating, profane or obscene language or gestures. • Bait or call undue attention to oneself, or any other act considered unsportsmanlike by the officials. • PENALTY: 1-3 minute non-releasable
Fouling Out • Any player who accumulates five-minutes of personal fouls shall be disqualified from the game. • A substitute for that player may enter the game when the disqualified player would have been permitted to re-enter had he not fouled out. • A player who accumulates five minutes of personal fouls has fouled out of the game, but has not been ejected.
Ejection A player, substitute, coach, nonplaying member of a team or anyone connected to the team shall be ejected for: • Deliberately striking or attempting to strike anyone or leaving the bench area during an altercation. • Use of tobacco or smokeless tobacco. • Second non-releasable, unsportsmanlike foul. • Any action deemed by the officials to be flagrant misconduct. • PENALTY: 3-minute non-releasable penalty & ejection for the remainder of the game.
