  1. Music Magazine Proposal What I’m planning to do for my music magazine, the content and why.

  2. Front Cover For my front cover I’m thinking of using a colour scheme that is a colourful picture and then use black and white writing. I’m thinking of using a girl with red hair that is an emerging singer. I am using this because when I did my questionnaire my responses said that black, white and red would be the most eye catching colour on a magazine. My target audience is young musicians and singers so using this cover will attract their attention as they will aspire to be like her as she’s a singer and plays the guitar. A lot of the people who answered my survey said they prefer rock and new singers that aren’t famous yet, which is what my model’s style is. The picture in the bottom right corner is her. She has a unique look and I want to use her to show that musicians are all different and have different styles.

Front Cover • For my front cover I’ve already used programmes such as www.surveymonkey.com to research what my target audience would like to see in a music magazine. • Another programme I’ve already used is lornawinnington.wordpress.com/ I’ve used my blog to post any ideas that I’ve got on there. • I also looked on pinterest for ideas and inspiration for my cover, colour scheme and fonts that I could use for my front cover

  4. Contents Page For my contents page I was thinking of using the same colour scheme as my front cover; black, white and red. I will list my contents in 2 columns and then I’ll use a black and white picture for the background picture and red textboxes with white writing in, I will probably have a picture of an instrument on the page.

  5. Double page spread • For my double page spread I’m thinking of doing an interview with my cover model, because she is an emerging artist and in my questionnaire response people said they’d be interested in reading about interviews and emerging artists. I’m going to use a picture of her to cover half of the first page and then the writing to cover the rest. • This will fit in with my genre because its like new types of music and artists that most people won’t have heard of. Also, she does a bit of rock music and that’s what the majority of people who responded to my survey said they were interested in.
