Join us for the 26th Knowledge Information Systems Architecture Forum, where we will explore Cotrix, a multi-user environment designed for the ingestion, sharing, and management of code lists. Learn how Cotrix streamlines the life cycle of code lists, enables translations, and establishes mappings while supporting metadata harmonization in fisheries workflows. Gain insights into its cutting-edge features, including dynamic importers and configurable publication channels, powered by SDMX and SKOS principles. Collaborate with us as we advance code list management!

Cotrix Cotrix, a VocBench based multi-user environment: • Ingestion and sharing code lists • Managing the life cycle of a code • Translate code lists • Establish mappings between code lists • Support meta data harmonization in the fisheries data work-flows • Its model is inspired by SDMX, SKOS, GSIM and InfoSTAT (Bank of Italy) • Hosted on https://github.com/cotrix
Importing • From • CSV • SDMX • SKOS • dynamically from SPARQL endpoint • Anywhere through configurable importers
Managing • The version of the codelist • The notion of a CodeBag (collection of Codelists) and its version • The validityPeriod of each code (Sudan splits in North and South Sudan)
Publishing I through publication channels: • publicationchannel can be local (CSV export or REST interface) • publicationchannel is configurable, it can export to any system • publicationchannel can be an external SDMX Registry, SKOS repository or SPARQL endpoint
Publishing II a publication channel can be local or remote
Publishing III Immediate requirements • Cotrix needs to manage and publish the ASFIS and FaoMajorAreacodelists • These codelists are needed for the SEIF project, new SDMX DSD's are waiting for it
Status • Cotrix is funded by the EU/iMarine project • Full time developer in Bangkok working on Cotrix, started 1 month ago • 3 people in FAO contributing part time on management, requirements and design • Cotrix (codelists) collaborates closely with VocBench(vocabularies) • Interest from IMF, DG-Mare and French Ministry of Agriculture
Future • April 2013: release version 0.1 • Codelist mapping and linking • Version difference reports • Concept management • Linking with vocabulary management • Research on handing over workflow to Activiti BPM Platform • Fine tuning Agile development process
Call for collaboration Contact us if you want to: • Propose requirements • Use Cotrix • Co-develop Cotrix
