Eco-friendly program Greener X Greener • System for distribution of our benefits from activities to grow green locally in Japan to refugee camps to grow green. • The aim is to advocate and work for refugee issues. In addition, we contribute to the natural environment in local community. • This project is a cooperative projectwith UNHCR

Leadership and Partnership Connecting with women leaders in business / corporations, NGO / NPO, UN organizations, international philanthropic organizations • To share leadership experiences and learn from each other • To built mutually beneficial relationships between Girl Scouting/ Girl Guiding movement and other organizations during panel discussions and workshops

Our experiences of hosting large events • Asian Camp (1963) • 19th WAGGGS World Conference(1966) • AP Regional Camp (1974) • GSJ’s 90th Anniversary Events (2010): • International camp (13 countries from 5 regions, over 1000 people at Togakushi in August) • VIVA90! (3 day event and exhibition on GSJ at NYC, 10,000 people in October)

What effect will this have on GSJ • reaffirms the values of Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding • raises the profile of Girl Scouting which is a worldwide movement focusing on girls and young women in the community • increases the membership and strengthens the organization • enhances the partnerships with MOs in AP

  17. Risk Assessment 1. Fund GSJ tries to raise fund by the subsidy from local government, financial aid from private foundations and donations from companies. 2. Involving members GSJ recruits volunteer trainers and young leaders to join the planning committee members and operation staff of the conference to ensure sufficient people to support the planning and preparations.

  18. Risk Assessment 3. Visa It is easy to get VISA if they have invitation letter from GSJ. Cost of visa 3,000Yen (approx. 34 USD). We will make necessary arrangements with Japanese government to facilitate the process. 4. Direct Flights Australia, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Maldives, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand
