Join Maria Taylor, Family Support Worker at DeafHear.ie (formerly NAD), for an insightful presentation on the services provided to deaf and hard of hearing individuals across Ireland. With 12 resource centres nationwide, our mission is to promote equality of opportunity and foster independence for our clients. We ensure effective communication in their preferred language, particularly Sign Language, to advocate for their needs. Established in 1963, we aim to enhance collaboration with service providers and ultimately create a society where deafness does not hinder participation.

Experience & Outlook • My experience to date… • DeafHear established in 1963 • We would like to maintain and strengthen our existing interaction with other service providers in the future. • It is imperative to be Deaf Aware & to enable Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons the opportunity to be fully included in society.
