2. Objective • Get a hand higher than the dealer’s without going over 21

3. Scoring System • A regular deck of cards is used (sometimes multiple decks) • King, Queen, Jack are worth 10 points • Ace can either act as 11 points or 1 point • Number cards are worth what they represent

4. The Game • Player is dealt 2 cards face up, while the dealer is dealt one card up and one card down • Increase your hand’s value by asking dealer for another card, one at a time • Try to stop taking cards before you ‘bust’, which means that your hand value is over 21

5. The Game • After you are satisfied with the hand value you have, the dealer will flip over the card that was dealt faced down • Dealers are able to take cards, but cannot take anymore once their hand value is of 17 or higher

6. “Blackjack” • ‘Blackjack’ is when you receive an Ace and either a 10, jack, queen, or king, scoring exactly 21
