  2. Who should choose BBA majors in April 2014? BBA students of 2013 cohort with undeclared major

  3. Selection Criteria 20% Major Allocation The top 20% of students will be allocated to their first choice major according to the following criteria: a. Cumulative GPA at the end of Semester B 2013/14; b. No failed grades in any courses in Semesters A and B 2013/14; and c. Completion of at least 30 credits units* in Semester A and B 2013/14 (*including the number of credit units specified by the College).

  4. Selection Criteria (cont’d) The specified required courses are presented as below: (Regarding item (c) above, please note that for students who have been granted transfer credits, they are still required to complete courses of at least 30 credit units in Semesters A and B 2013/14 in order to be eligible for participation in the 20% major allocation. If transfer credits or course exemption is granted for those required courses that are specified by the College/School, the students concerned do not need to take those required courses as their fellow students do. Instead they will have to take other courses in order to meet the 30 credit unit requirement if they want to participate in the 20% major allocation.)

  5. Selection Criteria 80% Major Allocation The remaining 80% of students will be prioritized by the academic units based on students’ CGPA and other selection criteria specified by individual department(Appendix 1).

  6. Prioritization of 13 Majors * Jointly offered by Department of Information Systems and Department of Marketing ** Subject to Senate’s approval, the programme title and award will be changed from Management Sciences to Business Operations Management with effect from Semester A, 2014-15.

  7. Online Submission 1 – 16 April 2014

  8. Effective Term The allocated major will take effect from Semester A 2014/15.
