Post Tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 1-20.09.19 East to west, welcome to the Amazing Fjords! After the workshop wejoin for a scenic drive from east to west across the Sognefjell mountain pass. This is the highest and most impressive mountain pass in Northern Europe (highest point 1430 meters), and it has been awarded the status of National Tourist Route because of the spectacular and wild mountain scenery it passes through in the Jotunheimen National Park. Wearrive to the Amazing Fjords of Luster and Skjolden Hotel idyllicallylocated in the end of the Sognefjord. Aperitif and storytelling in the garden overlooking the fjord. Dinnerwill be served at SkåriMountain Farm. This unique farm is located 225m amslwithbreathtakingviews over valleys, mountains, fjords and waterfalls. All roomsareunique and decoratedwithinspiration from the middle ages. Wereturn to Skjolden for a nightcap and a goodnightsleep.
Post Tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 2-21.09.19 Skjolden-Hafslo-Solvorn-Sogndal After a breakfast with fjord viewswewill drive to Bestebakken Hotel. Wewillget a tour aroundthisunique boutique hotel in Hafslo. Wecontinuewith a short drive to Walaker Hotel. This familyrun hotel is Norway’soldest from 1690 and the 9th. generationof the Nitter Walaker family stands ready to welcome us. After a tour of the art gallery a delicious lunch of local produce awaits. After lunch the tour goes to Sogndal and the new Quality Hotel Sogndal, reopened 09.05.19. This is the largest conference hotel outside the large cities in Norway and takes up to 400 people. RIB boats will then take us from Sogndal to Balestrand, giving you time to sit back and enjoy the beautiful fjords.

From the 18th centurythisfamily run hotel, with the beautifulwoodenswiss style achitecture, has welcomedguests to beautiful fjord surroundings. From royalty to moviestars have visited the hotel whichcanalsoboast from an extensive art collection. The RIBswillthen bring usacross the fjord where busses await in Vik. We drive across the Vikafjellmountain pass to the final destination, Myrkdalen Hotel and resort. A lovely autumn meal from the Norwegian mountains await.
Post tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 3-22.09.19 Myrkdalen-Gudvangen-Flåm-Bergen After a hearty breakfast we are heading from mountain to the fjord. We drive down Stalheimskleivane hairpin bends on our way to Gudvangen. Here we are met by the local Vikings in the Viking village Njardarheimr. Theywillgiveus a tour oftheirvillagewhereyoucanseeactivities and crafts from the Viking era. We jump back intomodern times and almostinto the futurewith the fullyelectricvessel, Futureof the Fjords, for a Unesco cruise of the Nærøyfjord to Flåm. Todayslunch is a Viking Plank at Ægir gastropub. Weare met by oneof the Flåmsbrygga representatives to learn more abouttheirconcept. We have just enough time for a tour ofhistorical Fretheim Hotel before «the most scenictrainjourney in the world» the Flåm railwaydeparts. At the end station Myrdal wechange for the mainrailwaytowards Oslo or Bergen. An extraday in Bergen is highlyrecommended!
Post tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 4- extra day-23.09 Bergen Bergen is known as “The Gateway To The Fjords” Between 7 mountains the charming little city can offer Unesco listed Bryggen wharf and a famous fish market. Overnight stay at Villa Terminus. As a private house in the heart of the center the chef will make you breakfast to be enjoyed in the courtyard/garden, sheltered from the busy city.
