  1. What is Responsive Web Design and Why is It Important for Your Site? Today more and more webmasters are opting for responsive web design. They want their websites to be fully functional that is to be accessible from every device including tablets and mobiles. A website that downloads decently on every platform is called responsive and there are many ways to make a site accommodative. Is responsive site related to mobiles? For most website owners, responsive sites are only for mobile and other handheld devices. They want to target mobile customers and for this reason they want their sites to download decently on mobile devices. Here are two ways for making sites for mobiles. The first way is to design separate sites for mobile device and the second way is to change the website structure so that it fits decently into every screen size. What is the difference between developing websites for mobiles and sites for every mobile device? When you develop a site for mobile, you make it specific. The site is developed keeping a specific screen size and pixel density in mind. It can also be said that the site works only for one type of device. Its advantage is that it saves money and time. And you get a site that targets your audiences. But it isn’t a responsive web design. The site won’t download in any other handheld device. Mobile devices include cell-phones, Smartphones, tablets, iPads and small size notebooks also called netbooks. You can target all these devices with one website. Your targeted audiences will be free to choose their platforms for accessing your site and it won’t be an exaggeration to say that having a compatible website will increase your reach. A fully compatible website would be expensive than a mobile site but it worth the price.

  2. How compatible sites are designed? For responsive web design, you need an experienced web developer that has excellent working experience in coding. But the most important thing in customized designing is testing. It is the final stage where a developed site is tested for functionality. It is checked whether the site is downloading as expected or facing difficulties. It is only after strict testing that a site is declared fully compatible. A responsive site takes time in developing due to coding and testing but it is necessary for a site to be tested for compatibility before it is made live. You should hire the developer that has testing facility and that can guarantee satisfactory service.
