One Example A sense of the sacred? A functional sustainability? A place that different people can feel they can come to safely? A place that meets the varied needs of a varied community?
Sacred but for whom? • The silent place may be a place of death! E.g. African culture • The big building with a big door may be scary: a place of authority • The sacred ‘needs’ to be awoken in some people who don’t yet know.
Sacred – “Immanent sacredness” • “I liked it in there” • “I felt welcome” • “I was allowed ..” / “my kids were allowed” • “There was something for me” • “I made a connection” Belonging shapes believing ??
