The La Estrella weaving group, long dedicated to traditional backstrap loom techniques, has embarked on a workshop to enhance their weaving skills. This training empowers the women to weave wider cloth, create larger pieces more quickly, and produce competitive products while maintaining their unique style. Participants learn to set up the loom, warp threads, and design new textiles. The women express deep gratitude to Sharing the Dream in Guatemala for loaning the loom, enabling them to acquire these valuable skills. Exciting new products are anticipated in the coming weeks.
