  2. What does ‘work independently’ mean? • Does it mean I cannot ask for help? • Does it mean I cannot speak to anyone else? • Does it mean I cannot use anything to help me? • Does it mean I must sit on my own?

  3. Why is it important to become independent?

  4. And one day you will have to look after yourself…

  5. So…become more independent in your learning • Have a go at your work. • If you get stuck, read it again and have another go. • If you’re still stuck, then ask someone next to you to help. • If you still don’t understand then ask your teacher or another adult. • And don’t forget – its alright to get things wrong…just learn from your mistakes!
