  2. Presentation Goals • WHO makes up the SFTA? • WHY is a public indoor tennis center needed? • WHAT is the vision? • WHERE do we plan to build it? • WHEN is the goal to open it? • HOW can you make a difference?

  3. Who makes up the SFTA? • The goal of the SFTA, a non profit 501(c)(3), is to build the first public indoor tennis facility in Sioux Falls. Tennis will become accessible to everyone regardless of skill, age and economic background. • No matter weather conditions, hot or cold, rain or snow, the sport of tennis will be enjoyed. • The stewards working hard to build the CITC which will enhance the quality of life in Sioux Falls. Why is a public indoor tennis facility needed? • Quality of Life • Winter/Fall public tennis programs are nonexistent • Private courts “leave out” many due to expense, lack of availability and exclusionary • Colleges/Universities can not compete at higher levels • Heavy Demand from public/private school based athletics • Short courts, Special Olympics, wheelchair tennis, pickleball expands our reach • Tennis is truly a “Sport for Life” • Economic Impact • Tournaments/Events to bring over $2 million into SF economy • Sioux Falls can REGAIN status as top Midwest tennis destination • Can capitalize on Division I, Division II college conference tournament opportunities • Retain and attract employees
