Welcome Back • Housekeeping Items • Lunch Menus • Please have your lunch menu completed by 10:00 am • Agenda • Technology • Tech Labs available • COWS available • Index Cards are available at your tables • Please write down any questions you may have and place them in the blue baskets at the front of your room.

  3. Entering State SLOs into eDoctrina • Information that needs to be entered into eDoctrina for State SLO from Word Document (found in envelope): • Interval of Instructional Time • Indicate Clear Start/End Date • Rationale • Copy from approved SLO • Learning Content • Identify course name, grade level if applicable, appropriate body of standards (CCLS, NYS Learning Standards, AGLIs) • Baseline • General description of student performance on pre-assessment • Evidence • Copy evidence from approved SLO (pre- and post assessment) • If you have given a post assessment, drag the post assessment from right to left • Student Roster / Population / Target(s) • Brief summary of class • Example #1: 35 ELA 10 students over 5 sections • Example #2: 6 3rd & 4th grade students that are NYSAA eligible • 80% of students will meet or exceed their individual or tiered target **Most items can be entered into eDoctrina with a drop-down option** PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SAVE IN EDOCTRINA AFTER EACH TAB!!!

  4. H.E.D.I. Scale • What is the H.E.D.I. Scale? • The H.E.D.I. scale is based on levels of effectiveness established by NYSED, which stand for highly effective, effective, developing, and ineffective. Based on NYSED SLO requirements, districts must adopt a 20 point rating scale that translates targets into points. The rules also define specific point ranges for each of the four effectiveness ratings, such as 18 - 20 points for highly effective.

Before entering an SLO in eDoctrina …. • …you will need: • access information for eDoctrina • Username format provided on Teacher Information sheet • Password: safe2pas • Handout of screen shots with step by step directions • Class Summary Report • Results from pre-assessments given in October and February • All teachers have these reports from October assessments; some from February • Test ID numbers, needed for identifying each pre-assessment administered located on this report Let’s take a minute & review the handout before beginning to input information into eDoctrina

Local Achievement Target Setting • Teachers will set a Local Achievement Target Score • Local Achievement Target Score • K – 8 EEEP Teachers - ELA • K – 12 EEEC Teachers – ELA (for majority) • HS Teachers – content area courses • Identified on Teacher Information Sheet • Target Stem • 80% of students will score a __________ or higher on the ________ District Developed Assessment • EXAMPLE: 80% of students will score a 70% or higher on the 4th grade ELA District Developed Assessment.

TARGET SETTING • Local Achievement Targets • A local achievement target is a realistic goal for success, based on historical data, to be reached by the end of a pre-determined instructional period. • Targets will be established in accordance with guidance from the Commissioner and State Education Department. • Local achievement targets shall be determined by teachers and will be reviewed and approved for rigor by the principal/ supervisor of record.

Local Achievement Target Setting • Use the handout provided (envelope) to establish a Local Achievement Target Score • Word Document format is available on the following wiki: • APPRdocs.wikispaces.org • Remember to SAVE your completed document to the desktop or flash drive (if you brought one) so that you may email to yourself & your supervisor. • Once completed, have an administrator review the target • Remember that it is important to discuss targets with team members that have similar populations and class sizes • Information from the Local Achievement Target Score document will also need to be entered into eDoctrina

Local Achievement Target Score Document • Before leaving today you must: • Complete the form, Local - Achievement Score • Send copy to the following people: • Yourself • Principal / Supervisor • Also Copy: • Lydia Rappold (Special Education teachers) • Debra Randall (Alternative teachers) • Complete the Local Achievement Target Score in eDoctrina Please write any questions you may have on an index card and place it in the blue basket located in your room.
