  2. Professional lighting solutions Glamox develops, manufactures and distributes professional lighting solutions for the global market. We are comitted to meeting customer needs and expectations by providing quality products and solutions, service and support.

  3. A global company The Glamox Group is among the largest lighting companies worldwide, with sales and production companies in several European countries, as well as in Asia,USA and Canada. We operate in more than 60 countries through a network of our own sales companies, agents and distributors.

  5. After a weak financial period, the base for increased growth and profitability is laid in 2001 and beyond. In 2008 the Glamox Group achieves its best results in the 60-year history of the company. The total revenue is 1.593 mill NOK with 1.030 employees. Spring 2009 Glamox acquires Luxo. New ownership structure and successful launching of new products creates a base for further growth. Total revenue increases to 688 mill NOK. Glamox buys Enerba and IFA. The product assortment for marine and offshore is expanded. Historical glance Sales units are established in Denmark, UK and Sweden. In 1969 Glamox starts developing electrical heaters. 1961-1970 1981-1990 2001-2009 1971-1980 1991-2000 2010- 1947 Sales units are established in Finland, Germany and Austria. In 1978 a factory is established in Finland. Total revenue increases from 42 mill. NOK to 156 mill. NOK and approximately 50% was delivered outside Norway. First deliveries for marine and offshore environments in the North Sea. Subsidiaries are established in Canada, Estonia, Latvia, Singapore and China. Glamox International is established. aqua signal and parts of Høvik Lys are bought by Glamox. Norselight is bought in 2000. The Glamox Groups total revenue increases to 1.300 mill NOK and has 1.200 employees. Birger Hatlebakk establishes the predecessor of Glamox ASA. He invents the glamoxation process: Aluminum that is GLAtt (smooth)-Matt-Oxidert (oxidized).

The wide assortment of Glamox products is of superior technical quality, and available for a wide range of applications – including challenging environments. For more than 75 years Luxo has designed mainly arm-based innovative, ergonomic lighting products. Luxo products improve lighting conditions, taking particular care of individual needs. Since 1876, decorative Høvik Lys lighting products, made with high quality materials and with exclusive finishing details, have graced elegant buildings and vessels with their pleasant light. Aqua Signal has been delivering top-of-the-line marine lighting solutions since before the age of electricity, providing lighting products designed and manufactured to meet all relevant standards for quality and performance at sea. Norselight delivers added safety and security by providing quality search light systems that work reliably even under the most extreme conditions.
