VOCABULARY LIST # 9 • aesthetic / utilitarian adj. • Designed for practical use rather than beauty; believing value lies in usefulness • sensitive to, or appreciative of, art or beauty/ pleasing in appearance • equivocate v. unequivocal • to speak vaguely or ambiguously, especially in order to mislead • Paradigm n. • A set pattern or model. • A set of assumptions, values, or practices that constitutes how one sees reality.
