CASIP-SMEs Project 1 – Definitions and general overview from Application Form OBJECTIVE OF PILOT ACTIONS To test Innovative Services and check their usefulness for the target users (entrepreneurs or enterprises; local operators, etc). Pilot actions will consist of actions directly addressed to the target users of the services selected. They action will be developed according to the methodology of the services selected. CASIP-SMEs Project 2 – Services to be implemented Pilot Actions will be implemented by testing at least 2 innovative services in the local territory • Trademarks and IPR • Franchising • Coaching and support for the best commercially exploitable invention • Open IP consultation days • IP and Innovation Emergency Response All tools to support the provision of the services will be available and downloadable from the CASIP-SMEs project website and they will be mainly available in Russian language 4 A project implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice This project is funded by the European Union

CASIP-SMEs Project 2 – Pilot Action in Kazakhstan SERVICES CHOSEN The Chamber of Commerce of Almaty chose the following two services to be tested on local enterprises: 1 – Franchising (service 2) 2 – Open IP consultation days (service 4) 5 This project is funded by the European Union A project implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice

  6. CASIP-SMEs Project 2 – Pilot Action in Kazakhstan - 2 ACTION PLAN • Establishing relationships with the National Center for Franchising Development (August 2012). Signing of the agreement on cooperation. • 2. Printing out franchising manuals. • 1stOpen House Day (September 20) • 1) Seminar “Market value of your business and how intellectual property can increase it?” • 2) Question-Answer session • 3. Seminar «What is franchising? Franchising advantages for business», October 17, 2012 • 2nd Open House Day (November 28, Thursday) • 1) Seminar “The role of trademarks and service marks in your business” • 2) Question-Answer Session • Printing out booklets on services of ALCCI on intellectual property protection. • 4. CASIP-SMEs Project 2 – Pilot Action in Kazakhstan - 3 ACTIVITIES DEVELOPED OCTOBER 9TH 2012 – OPEN DAY Market Value of your business and how Intellectual Property can increase it Participants: 45 persons Report and pictures of the event have been uploaded on the CASIP-SMEs project website OCTOBER 19TH 2012 – SEMINAR TRAINING What is franchising? Advantages of Franchising for Business Participants: 30 persons Report and pictures of the event have been uploaeded on the CASIP-SMEs project website PLEASE NOTE: With reference to the action plan foreseen, some activities does not match with the ones developed. 7 This project is funded by the European Union A project implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice

CASIP-SMEs Project 2 – Pilot Action in Kyrgyzstan SERVICES CHOSEN The Chamber of Commerce chose the following services to be tested on local SMEs: 1 – Coaching and tailored support for the best exploitable invention (service 3) 2 – Open IP consultation days (service 4) ACTION PLAN The Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan has planned to have the first seminar of the pilot action on 28th August 2012, dealing with the issue of Franchising 8 This project is funded by the European Union A project implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice

CASIP-SMEs Project 3 – Pilot Action in Tajikistan SERVICES CHOSEN The Chamber of Commerce of Tajikistan chose the following services to be implemented: 1 – Trademarks and IPR (service 1) 2 – IP and Innovation Emergency Response (service 5) ACTION PLAN • SERVICE 1 • Organisation together witl local NPO of a series of seminars for SMEs in Dushanbe, Khatlon and Sughd to learn the basics of intellectual property in November • Round table on the basis of workshop in December • Organization of a weekly open house for small and medium businesses to consult one to one • Printing of brochures on the main objects of intellectual property starting from October 9 This project is funded by the European Union A project implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice

CASIP-SMEs Project 3 – Pilot Action in Tajikistan - 2 • SERVICE 5 • Training for PCI staff together with patent office and the academic community of the universities • Participation of experts in seminars provided withing service n° 1 • Organization of special training on intellectual property issues for the staff of the Chamber and organization of round tables (from October to November) • Foreseen the opening of a department for small and medium-sized businesses for the future provision of services (January 2013) 10 This project is funded by the European Union A project implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice
