  2. TERCETS ARE… • Tercets are any three lines of poetry, whether as a stanza or as a poem, rhymed or un-rhymed, metered or un-metered. The haiku is a tercet poem.

  3. IN MY OWN WORDS… • Tercets are poems with three lines, which could be rhymed or un-rhymed, metered or un-metered. For example, there is the haiku, which we have recently studied.

  5. MY OWN TERCET… The sun The sun rises Slowly, showing its beautiful glow My dream and hope rises too
