How will it solve the problem? • Explain WHAT the solution does (NOT HOW it works) • Based on end-user’s use case (if available), else illustrate with potential industry-wide use case • Illustrate how the proposed solution solves the problem (e.g. network/system diagram, data flow) • Highlight any security features/enhancements

  6. 1. Objective and Approach • Challenge Statement Requirements: State which requirements the proposal will fulfil and which it will not Delete this slide if responding to CSOC (Open Category) • Delete this slide if NOT responding to a specific Challenge Statement • State requirements as per the target Challenge Statement • Delete “Yes” or “No” in “Complied” column • Provide reasons for any requirements not fulfilled • Delete any unused rows

  7. 2. Proposed Solution Implementation • How does the proposed solution work? How will it be implemented? • Illustrate (in one diagram) all the components required in the solution: • Outline any existing/ externalready-made components in BLUE • Outline new components to be developed in this proposal in RED • Explain what each component does and how they work together

  8. 2. Proposed Solution Implementation • Where will the new components be developed? (e.g. Singapore, overseas) • What are the project outputs or key deliverables upon project completion? • Project deliverables (e.g. endpoint software, backend software, hardware appliance, endpoint appliance) • [Optional] • Process deliverables (e.g. Design Specification, Project Plan, Test Plan)

  9. 3. Innovation • What are the key technologies used in the proposed solution? • What is the innovation exhibited by the proposed solution? • New methods, ideas, technologies or extensions of existing technology • Significant improvements and impact that the solution may result in. • Are there similar solutions in the market? What is the competitive advantage of the proposed solution?

  10. 4. Functional Test • What is the test setup? (include diagram to explain) • What are the test cases?

  11. 4. Functional Test • What are the key parameters to be recorded? • How will project success be determined?

  12. 5. Project Timeline and Milestones • Project period should not exceed 24 months • List the tasks involved in developing the solution (e.g. software/hardware development, configuration, setup, integration, testing) • Include milestones and deliverables to be completed during the project period • Provide other relevant details (e.g. team member involvement) • Propose the project schedule (e.g. Gantt chart)

  13. 6. Project Budget Breakdown

  14. 7. Project Impact • What is the potential for the solution to be developed into a commercial product for industry-wide adoption? • Outline plans to deploy and/or commercialize • State targeted industry sector(s) and geographical region(s) • List potential difficulties and proposed mitigation • What is the estimated budgetary pricing of the solution after the POC has been completed successfully? • Include system cost, annual maintenance and/or support pricing • What is the estimated international addressable market size for the solution? • Provide numerical estimates (e.g. market size) • State any assumptions • List information sources used (e.g. Forbes, IMDA) • What new capabilities and Intellectual Property (IP) will be gained from this project?
