1. Know More About Your Favorite USA Summer Music Festival Do you love summer music festivals? FreshGrass is the three-days ​music festival in USA​. ​FreshGrass is a wonderland of traditional and cutting edge bluegrass and roots music, tucked appropriately into a 19th-century factory turned 21st-century museum in the Berkshire mountains of northwestern Massachusetts. Additional FreshPass benefits include: ● Preferred seating or standing at the main stages ● Access to the FreshPass Lounge: free beer, snacks, beverages, comfy seating, juice to charge your phone and a festival concierge ● Meet-and-greet opportunities with FreshGrass artists ● Exclusive tour of the galleries with a museum curator Each year at ​USA Music festivals​, the Freshgrass Foundation commissions several artists to create new music to be premiered at the festival. These premiers have become special and anticipated moments at the festival each year.

2. Composition Commission Our flagship annual commission is the Freshgrass Composition Commission, where we ask an artist to create roughly an album’s worth of music that somehow pushes the boundaries of roots music. This premier usually kicks off the festival on Friday night and has become a “must-see” event. Past recipients include Bill Frisell, Sarah Jarosz and Rhiannon Giddens This year’s composition commission will be announced soon, Stay tuned! FreshKids events offer opportunities for family music-making, art projects, shade, and snacks. In addition to kid-centric pop-up concerts with FreshGrass festival musicians, we’ll be making some instruments.
