Study Abroad… • La Serena, Chile • Summer 2011 Students from all disciplines in the University System of Georgia are invited to apply to study in South AmericaJuly 7 – August 2, 2011 La Serena is located on the Pacific Coast of central Chile. Courses will be held at the University of La Serena, with a magnificent view of the city. The program offers a variety of courses as well as many opportunities to explore and experience the rich culture and breath-taking landscapes of South America. • Program Cost $3,350 Plus the cost of tuition (maximum of 7 credit hours) Available Courses In English & Spanish Things to See & Do La Serena (the Serene One) is known for its white-sand beaches as well as some of the best maintained Spanish-colonial architecture in the country. Classes will visit museums, wineries, historic sites as well as some of Chile’s many astronomical observatories in the Andes Mountains. Program includes an overnight stay in the Andes Mountains. Students will also spend five days in Chile’s capital of Santiago where they will tour the historic and modern attractions. The itinerary also includes an optional day trip to ski in the nearby Andes near Santiago.
