  2. Instructions forCleaning the Filter • Turn off your NEC projector by flipping the power switch on the back of the device. Unplug the projector's power cord. • Locate the projector's filter, located on the back right corner of the device. Push down on the filter cover by pushing down on the catch of the cover until it detaches. Depending on the model, the filter may pull up or out. • On the sponge-like filter, use a soft-bristled brush or flick the dust with your finger into a trashcan to remove any lint and dust from both sides of the filter. • Place the filter back into your NEC projector, plug in the device's power cord and power on the projector. The filter will only slide back into the projector if it is properly aligned. • Go to next slide for resetting the projector so the Clean Filter message no longer appears.

  3. Resetting the Filter Usage Time • Press the "Menu" button on the NEC projector's remote control. Use down arrow button to navigate to the "Default"setting. • Use rightand down arrow buttons to navigate to the "Clear Filter Usage" option. Press "Enter." • Select "Yes" to confirm you want to reset the filter usage time. • Press "Enter" to complete the process.
