Thank you for joining us for Back to School Night! Please take a moment to explore the folder with your child's name and complete any paperwork for submission. Our kindergarten team, including classroom teachers and special educators, is excited to share insights about a day in the life of a kindergartener and your child's learning journey. Key topics will include daily schedules, subjects taught, homework expectations, positive behavior support, and upcoming events. Join us at 6:50 p.m. for an engaging presentation about the adventures awaiting your child this school year!

Back to School Night! • Thank you for joining us this evening. • While we are waiting to begin, please take the folder labeled with your child’s name. • Ifyou have paperwork to complete, please be sure to hand it in at the end of the evening or send it in tomorrow. • Take a moment to explore your child’s classroom. Folders • Folders are used to communicate from home to school and from school to home. • Folders promote responsibility and provide an organizational tool for your child. • Please send and check folders DAILY.
SOP Positive Behavioral Intervention SupportsPBIS Respect selfRespect othersRespect property • PBIS focuses on acknowledging students for consistent positive behaviors. • Staff and students build positive relationships. • Routines and language with respect to appropriate school behaviors are consistent through out the school. • Students are rewarded with Fabulous Falcons and special activities for appropriate behaviors.
STEPS FOR SOARING TO SUCCESS • STEP 1: GREEN GOAL LEVEL Everyone start here when you follow the PLES wide-expectations. 1. Student receives a verbal warning. 2. If needed, the student takes a short break. STEP 2: YELLOW REFLECTIONS LEVEL a. Student receives a 5 minute timeout in the classroom to complete a Reflection Form. b. Teacher confers with student regarding desired behaviors to ensure asuccessful remainder of the day.
STEP 3: ORANGE SUPPORT TEACHER/PHONE CALL a. Student receives a 7 minute timeout with a teacher within the team area. b. A phone is made to the parent/guardian. c. The student is welcomed back to the classroom. STEP 4: RED OFFICE a. Teacher and administrator complete an Office Referral.

School Wide Breakfast Program • Breakfast is offered to our students everyday. • Participation in breakfast is completely voluntary. • There is no charge for breakfast. • Breakfast is offered from 8:40-8:55. • Students should arrive in time to eat breakfast so that the instructional day can begin promptly at 9:00. • There are 4 breakfast items offered each day (milk, juice, cereal, muffin). Students may select 3 or 4 of the offered breakfast items.
Lunch & Snack • Lunch: • Labeled $ in baggie/envelope • Exact change if possible • Discuss selections prior • Uneaten lunch sent home • Encourage NO sharing • PEANUT FREE Snack: • Separate from lunch • Labeled w/name & “snack” • Non-perishable • Utensils • Pretzels, Goldfish, fruit, etc.

Field Trips • October 19th, Sharp Farm • All students must return permission slips to attend. • Chaperone sign up will be on the field trip permission slip form. • Chaperones must sign and return chaperone form. • No siblings are allowed on field trips.
School Supplies • Thank you for sending in school supplies! • Accidents can occur… please send an extra set of clothing in a bag labeled with your child’s name. • Please see our Kindergarten Wish List in the kindergarten newsletter (starting in October)!
