Design an Airplane. You are having a competition and you are to design an airplane that can be built from one sheet of printer paper that will fly the furthest. You may use two (2) sheets of paper one to build plane and one to write the steps in how to build it. While you are in Groups Working.

  1. Design an Airplane You are having a competition and you are to design an airplane that can be built from one sheet of printer paper that will fly the furthest. You may use two (2) sheets of paper one to build plane and one to write the steps in how to build it.

While you are in Groups Working • Introduce yourself to each other. • Come up with a team name. • Place your team name on the Airplane and Instructions. • When you are finished place the Airplane & instructions on the table in front of the room. • NOTE: Remind you I will throw all planes as a control to the competition

  3. WHAT COMPETITION? • So does any body remember what Competition was about? • WELL THAT’S REALLY NOT QUITE IT… • LETS GO BACK TO SLIDE ONE AND LOOK!

THIS IS YOUR DESIGN • Please take one of these “DESIGNS” aka instructions and make that teams airplane from their instructions.IF IT SAYS FOLD IN TWO… FOLLOW THEM AS OUTLANDIASHLY AS ALLOWED. • On the Plane that you build from their design Place the Designers Group Name on it, Just as the designers named it. • Collect them (New Planes) and we will then have the competition

  6. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS ACTIVITIY? • Its about Scientific or Tech Writing. • What makes a good Procedure. • Do I need to add Pictures, • How do we represent our ideas properly. • A big part of Science is the reporting, sharing, and validation of Information.
