Microarray Data Analysis Reveals hzy Role in Rhabdomere Formation

This study focuses on understanding the role of hzy in the development of rhabdomeres in Drosophila compound eyes. By analyzing microarray data, targets of hzy are identified, the stage of rhabdomere formation requiring hzy is determined, and the DNA binding site for hzy is located. Key steps in the analysis workflow include preprocessing, normalization, differential analysis, and gene ontology classification. Results show hzy is crucial during elongation, and a conserved binding site for hzy is identified. Future directions involve RT-PCR confirmation and TFBS search in hzy promoter region.
