Building Collaborative Digital Collections: The AMICAL Digital Library Pilot Project

The AMICAL Digital Library focuses on creating a shared platform for managing digital collections among AMICAL member institutions. This pilot project, initiated in 2012, enhances access to cultural heritage materials and fosters collaboration. Members can benefit from scalable systems like the LUNA+ Insight system, which supports collection management and discovery, and offers resources such as shared licenses, community support, and active participation options. The project aims to evaluate its impact post-pilot, setting the stage for future development and resource sharing.
