Peoria School District 150 SMART Goals • SMART GOAL 1: By the year 2014,70% of all District students will meet or exceed grade-level standards in Reading as measured by the ISAT and PSAE. • SMART GOAL 2: By the year 2014, 77% of all District students will meet or exceed grade-level standards in Mathematics as measured by the ISATs and PSAE. • SMART GOAL 3: By the year 2014, 90% of district students and teachers will access and use technology learning tools and resources across the curriculum.

  7. 2012 Overview • New principal and teacher evaluation instrument • International Baccalaureate Program focus at 4 schools and course expansion at Richwoods (Charter Oak, Mark Bills, Sterling, Trewyn) • Increased Advance Placement Courses at all high schools • ELITE Program at Trewyn K-8 School • Partnering with the CEO Roundtable to provide Reading Buddies for 3rd graders that are not on grade level

  8. 2012 Overview • Counselors in all Middle Schools • Gifted/Enrichment Teachers for primary and middle schools • Expanded opportunities for Alternative Education for all students at Woodruff • Career and technical opportunities at Woodruff (Construction, Engineering, Cosmetology, Metals, Electrical, Automotive Paint Repair, Health Occupations) • Rosetta Stone software for Primary Schools • Foreign Language Instructors for Middle and High Schools

  9. 2012 Overview • Career Exploration Lab for 6-8 grade students (Growing Up Ready) • I-Pad Learning Carts at all schools (25-30 per cart) • Common planning time for teachers at all three high schools • Common assessments at all high schools for 2011-12 • Common assessments for 3-12 grade students 2012-beyond • Pinpoint – Data Management and Learning System that includes a Professional Development Component • New Science Curriculum (Science Fusion) for K-8 grades • AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) at Lincoln Middle School, Manual Academy, Peoria High and Richwoods High School • College Bound Peoria Program for 9th grade students
