People should pay to use public transportation

(All) people should pay to use (all) public transportation. 1、拆all people: 让步:大多数人应该pay。

  7. People should pay to use public transportation. Admittedly, most people should pay to use public transportation.

  8. Admittedly, most people should pay to use public transportation. It is common knowledge that the construction and maintenance of any public transportation cost a large amount of money. If the government were to provide its citizens with free transportation, chances are high that this government, though well intentioned, will end up running in deficit in the long term. Additionally, there is no way to rule out the possibility that some people with private vehicles would take advantage of this policy, making buses and subways too crowded for those who really need them.

  9. People should pay to use public transportation. Nevertheless, for people who are unable to support themselves, such the aged and people with disabilities, public transportation should be free. (disadvantaged groups)

  10. Nevertheless, for people who are unable to support themselves, such as the aged and those with disabilities, public transportation should be free. First and foremost, the disadvantaged groups are usually financially challenged. To most people, the amount paid to use the subway might be trivial. For them, however, the money can make a difference. In addition, it’s the obligation of the government to take care of those who have difficulty taking care of themselves, as this is one of the imperative conditions why the government is endowed with just power by its people.

  12. Admittedly, public transportation should not all be free. People should pay to use public transportation whose construction and maintenance cost a large amount of money, such as train and airplane. If the government were to provide its citizens with such transportation without charging a fee, chances are high that this government, though well intentioned, will end up running in deficit in the long term. Also, if people don’t have to pay to use transportation as efficient as airplane, it’s not hard to imagine how crowded the airport can be. More complex is the issue of regulating who can take the airplane and who can not for there is no way that the supply can be enough to meet the demand.

  13. Nevertheless, exempting people from paying for buses is advisable. The cost of running such transportation system is relatively low. The government will not be heavily burdened. More importantly, such a policy can make a difference in poor people’s lives for two reasons. The first one is that bus is the most frequently used public transportation in our daily life. Another reason, which is perhaps subtler, is that although to most people, the amount saved by not paying for bus might be trivial, it means much more to people who are financially challenged to survive.
