Benefits of Being a Canadian Permanent Resident • You are entitled to most of the same rights & privileges as a Canadian Citizen • You are entitled to equal treatment and equal protection – legal rights (such as presume innocent until proven guilty • You can work, study & live anywhere you choose in Canada as you see fit • Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) – for families with children under the age of 18 who are considered to have low income, the Canada govt provides monthly tax-free payments to help cover expenses. • Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement and Canada Pension Plan – All of these 3 programs are designed to provide financial support to workers after the retirement age 65. • Universal Health Care – Most Necessary Medical expenses are covered through the Canadian Universal Health Care Program. These expenses includes visits to emergency room, immunizations, yearly exam, etc... • FREE Education – All children under 18 are entitled to a free education in the Canadian public school system

Women can take up to 12 months of maternity leave and receive 50 to 65% of their normal income. Partially paid parental leave is also available for up to 35 weeks.   10. How to Qualify? • You or your spouse/partner have a total mark of 67 in the Six selection factors in the skilled worker grid. The 6 selection factors are: • Education – maximum 25 points • Abilities in English and/or French – Max 24 points • Work Experience – Max 21 points • Age – Max 10 points (22 – 49 years old) • Arranged Employment in Canada – Max 10 points • Adaptability – Max 10 points

  11. Permanent Residency Process (PRP™) 1. Pre Assessment Registration 2. Applicant receives a Welcome Kit from CCIC (Signing of Service Agreement) indicates the ff.: Documents needed 1. ICSI Forms to be accomplished and Information 2. CCIC – (US/Canada partner) on Immigration Consultants 4. After 5-7 mos. -CIC Sends AOR 3. CCIC – Filing of the petition and (Acknowledgement of Receipt) payment of govt. filing fees All Documents are OK and Adult – CAD$ 550.00/application complete for approval & Processing Dependant under 22y/o – 150.00/application (Payments can be made thru the website) 5. Release of the PR Payment Right of Permanent Residency Fee CAD$ 490.00
