  1. The more the students can take responsibility of the process, the more empowered they will be to affect positive change in the school. • Two weeks prior to election, intent to run forms are available. This is a contract of commitment. • One week prior to election, intent to run forms are due to office. • Two days prior to election, meeting with all candidates to pass out ethical dilemmas. • Morning of election day, Exhibition of Ethical Literacy. Every candidate presents a prepared response to an ethical dilemma. All dilemmas are written by the honor council. The entire program is run by the student honor council (scripted of course!) Attire is important. • Election day: Elections held during lunch using Google forms as the ballot. 8-10 laptops are set up on a table already on the Google form (ballot). Current HC controls the crowd and monitors voting. Teacher stands back and monitors the overall process. • Results are tallied automatically using Google Docs “Summary of Responses.” • All candidates are brought together to announce the results before announcing to the student body.
