Saddle River Superintendent Search Timeline August 27, 2014 - Superintendent Resigns September 4, 2014 - BOE Meeting: HR-1097 Be it resolved that the Saddle River Board of Education accepts, with regret, the resignation of Mrs. Margaret E. Contaldi, Superintendent of Schools, effective November 27, 2014 • Presentation from Mr. Al Annunziata on superintendent search services offered by New Jersey School Boards Association

Saddle River Superintendent Search September 11, 2014 - BOE Meeting: F-2140 Saddle River BOE agrees to contract with NJSBA to provide superintendent search services • Initial visit - meeting with the BOE search committee • Calendar of events • Design of advertisement (Star-Ledger, NJASA, NJPSA, County Ed. Offices, NJSBA database) • Develop criteria, qualifications & candidate profile with BOE • Updates to BOE on progress of search • Screening applications to best match the district’s needs • Processing applications confidentially (maintaining files, scheduling interviews, handling correspondence) • Report on the pool of candidates

Saddle River Superintendent Search Requirements & Qualifications • NJ School Administrator Certificate • Each School district must have a superintendent • Experience as Principal, Superintendent and/or Central Office • Elementary experience • Leadership experience in curriculum, technology, personnel, finance and communication with all stakeholders
