Chem. 212(01/02/03) – Solubility of a Salt • Hand in to TA: Solubility-Pre-lab, • Lab Report due at the end of this lab period. • Determine solubility of KNO3 as a function of temperature and prepare its solubility curve. • Solubility Curve – Figure 13.17 BLB-text. • Collect six data points (two trials per point). • x = solubility of KNO3 in grams per 100 g water. • Insert thermometer via slotted-side of stopper. • RO-water for water-bath • Minimize tube-time in water-bath • DO NOT wash burette with soap, just use RO-water with 3 rinses; Get rid of air bubble in burette tip.
