Together, we will focus on student engagement through Common Core text types and performance tasks that emphasize skills and content.   2. Goals: Goal: • To develop new units and improve existing units in UbD format to align with 2011 Mass. ELA Framework • To do this work together • Documenting means doing

  3. Focus on: • How do students have the opportunity to read and write the three Common Core text types? • Informative/Explanatory • Opinion/Argument • Narrative

  4. Focus on: • How do performance tasks push/force students to use the SKILLS and CONTENT that were developed over the course of a unit? • Do our Essential Questions connect to developing skills as well as themes? • Clearly stating Enduring Understandings (teacher-facing) as well as Essential Questions (student facing)
